Meet Georgia Slattery, FCTG Recruitment Specialist. Georgia joined recruitment in Australia in July 2018 and made the charge for Global Gathering from day 1. And, to no surprise qualifies for Vegas!

Hailing from Brisbane, Georgia does not let the grass grow under her feet. Her 5-year stint in London and countless holidays throughout the year are proof of this (hence joining the travel industry 2 years ago). She digs people and all things talent, so a role in the Specialist Recruitment team was a good move. Aside from her wanderlust evoking snaps on Instagram, you'll find her watching slightly too much reality TV and sipping on some seriously hops'y beers.

As a recruitment consultant for FCTG, Georgia is in a prime position for selling the benefits of working at FCTG. Who doesn’t love the dangle the idea of an all expenses paid party each year to candidates wanting to know what we can do for them.

Georgia shares her experience below.

What was Global Gathering like as a First Timer in Vegas?

I have no words. Vegas in general is one of my fave spots (always guaranteed a good time), however the amount of time and effort FCTG put into Global, is next level. I was in total awe. Everything is thought of and no expense spared.

Are you aiming for Global Gathering 2020 in Brisbane?

#Absofreakinlutely. I think this one will be insane. And such a great opportunity for those overseas, to see Australia.

What are you going to do to ensure you're partying in Brisbane?

This year I'd love to be there with my team, rather than solo. So there's a big focus on working collaboratively together, helping each other out and ensuring we're offering the best service to our business leaders and candidates.

What's your top tip for aspiring First Timers?

Work hard, love what you do, and be a FCTG brand advocate. Seems easy enough right? It is! Don't let the bad stuff bother you, be passionate about your work, come into the office with a smile on your face and do what you can to help those around you.

What are you most looking forward to?

All of it. Rumour has it there's some big stuff in the works...FYI, bribing Steven Elvin doesn't work. He's like the human version of Fort Knox when it comes to Global secrets. (Side note Steven here – I’m very afraid of Kerry-Ann Walker who is the Global Gathering Queen so my lips are sealed).

What's your top tip for surviving a Global Gathering?

Sleep whenever you can. Regardless of the setting. Your room, a restaurant, a bathroom cubicle...wherever! And (I cannot express this enough) Hydralytes! They will be your best friend.
